Click heatmap
Where people click on each route, painted over the real page, with a neutral wireframe when a route has no snapshot yet. Capture is automatic; viewing is Pro.
A heatmap answers a blunter question than a recording does: where does everyone click on this screen? Not one session — all of them, per route, stacked into one picture. Espejo paints those clicks over the actual page your users saw, so the hot spots land on real buttons and real copy, not a diagram of them.
What you get
Section titled “What you get”The clicks are drawn on top of the real page, reconstructed — the DOM rebuilt with rrweb (the Hotjar idea), not a screenshot. When a route has never sent a page snapshot yet, the heatmap falls back to a neutral wireframe: the click zones are still accurate, they just float over a placeholder instead of your layout.
Capture is automatic
Section titled “Capture is automatic”There is nothing to turn on and nothing to configure. Every click is recorded with
normalized coordinates, so a click means the same thing whether the visitor was
on a phone or a wide monitor. The SDK also takes a static snapshot() of each route,
debounced and once per route per session — that is what supplies the real
background later. No video is recorded, and no permission is asked.
Opening it in the console
Section titled “Opening it in the console”Go to the Heatmap screen and pick a route from the route selector. Each route is its own map; switching routes reloads the clicks and, if one exists, the reconstructed page for that route.
